DECADES OF PROVEN PERFORMANCE

Metropolitan Ceramics' unglazed quarry tile is fired in tunnel kilns heated to in excess of 2,000º fahrenheit for low absorption, added slip resistance, and extreme durability. And Metropolitan Ceramics products meet ASTM standards through laboratory testing.

You may have heard otherwise, but other floor coverings may be easily compromised. They can FLAKE, CRACK, WEAR, MELT and SCRATCH allowing for a compromised floor requiring costly repairs.

LET'S TALK GROUT

Did you know grout joints add slip resistance to the floor? Grout joints channel water away from the surface and add another area of traction as you step across the floor. Long spans of smooth floor is never the best option. And, today's grout is far superior to grout from 20 or 30 years ago. If properly installed and maintained, the grout will perform well for the life of the installation.

REMEMBER! Shiny and seamless doesn't equal clean and safe - ESPECIALLY WHEN WET OR GREASY.

WHAT'S THAT SMELL?

Metropolitan Ceramics' products are inert meaning they will not off gas during installation or once installed. Other floor coverings that are chemical based can create strong fumes during installation and repairs.

While some floor covering products recommend ammonia for cleaning their floors, that is not the case with Metropolitan Ceramics' products. Quarry tile products can be easily maintained using low VOC, neutral cleaners.

IF YOU CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT...

There is only one floor covering that can take the heat stoves and fryers throw off in commercial kitchens. Metropolitan Ceramics' products are fired in kilns in excess of 2,000º fahrenheit, there is no doubt they can take the heat!

Other popular floor coverings may melt at a lower temperature than the heat generated by fryers and ovens. Spills from ovens and fryers can be just too hot for them.
